Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support students within a school setting. The role involves working directly with children to assess and improve their functional abilities, enabling them to participate fully in educational activities. This opportunity includes travel to various school locations within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to determine students occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance students fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license or certification
- Experience working in schools or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt treatment approaches based on individual student needs
- Willingness to travel to multiple schools within the assigned area
Location:
- Pawtucket, Rhode Island, with travel to surrounding schools as needed
